First Generation International Scholarships at Bard College Berlin: The school is offering the First Generation International Scholarships to support highly motivated students who demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence for the 2022-2023 academic session.

This award is available for international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate degree at Bard College Berlin. The scholarship program will cover the full program fee up to four years.

Currently ranking 305th nationwide, Bard College Berlin, founded in 1999 with the aim of returning small-group seminar teaching and interdisciplinary undergraduate education in the liberal arts to the highest level of European education, is a private, non-profit institution of higher education in Berlin, Germany.

Eligibility for First Generation International Scholarships

  • Countries: All foreign students are eligible to apply.
  • Course or Subjects: Bachelor degree programs available at Bard College Berlin can be applied for.
  • Criteria: The applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:

How To Apply

  • Students can either apply through the Common Application or through the Bard College Application System. Students need to fill the Student financial Statement form and submit it with the admission application.
  • The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Motivation Statement
  • Graded writing sample
  • Letter of recommendation
  • Official transcripts
  • All application materials should be in English or German or should be submitted together with certified English translations. SAT or ACT scores are optional.
  • The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 7.0
  • TOEFL IBT – 95
  • CAE – A to C
  • CPE – A to C
  • TOEFL Essentials – 10
  • Duolingo – 120


The students selected by Bard College Berlin will be provided up to the full on-campus comprehensive fee renewable for four years.
