Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships: The University of Edinburgh, with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, is delighted to present 15 Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships 2022 to International students for the 2022-2023 educational session.

International students from eligible countries seeking to undertake an online master’s study in MSc International Development from the University of Edinburgh are eligible candidates for this scholarship. This scholarship award will cover the tuition fee and will be awarded on the basis of the academic merit of the candidate and the potential impact of the work on the development of the candidate’s home country.

Eligibility

  • Countries: International students from Bangladesh, Belize, Cameroon, Eswatini, Ghana, India, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, The Gambia, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, and Zambia are eligible to apply.
  • Courses: MSc International Development (Online) program offered at Edinburgh can be applied for.
  • Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must be a citizen of or be granted refugee status from an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.

How to Apply

  • Students are required to apply to the online master’s degree via the University’s course finder. Students must apply for the scholarship through the CSC’s online application form.
  • Required Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • At least one reference
  • An offer letter
  • Full transcripts detailing all your higher education qualifications
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must normally hold a degree in an appropriate subject, with an excellent or very good classification (equivalent to first or upper second class honors in the UK).
  • Language Required: The students must demonstrate a level of English language competency that will enable them to succeed in their studies, regardless of their nationality or country of residence.
